CBD Oil is a non-psychoactive oil extract taken from the Cannabis (or Hemp) plant. CBD stands for Cannabidiol, one of many cannabinoids found in the plant.
There are estimated to be over a hundred cannabinoids in the plant. We use strains specifically chosen for their naturally high CBD level and quality.
It is important to point out that our products are entirely different from “Hempseed Oil” you can find in many high street stores and online. Whilst our oil is extracted from the plant – “Hempseed Oil” is made by pressing the seeds. Hempseed oil has many fantastic properties, but these are entirely different to CBD Oil.
Majority of our products use full spectrum extracts, but what does this mean?
In Cannabis extract, there are hundreds of cannabinoids, terpenes and other compounds which all make up the plant. Each compound plays a part – as nature intended – in giving the final product its effectiveness and potency (see “what is the Entourage Effect”). When we produce products using all of the compounds present, this is called “full spectrum”.
It is well known and documented that full spectrum products are more effective than “isolate” based products, or even “broad spectrum” CBD oils we are now seeing on the market.
Isolate based products means they use pure CBD – usually around 99% pure. This may sound impressive, but the white isolate powder used is a far cry from anything related to a plant. Isolate products are cheaper to produce and are simply not as effective. If all you can see on a products laboratory report is CBD – with everything else as “ND” (non-detectable) or at 0%, this product uses isolate and is certainly not high quality. There are many brands now claiming to have “full spectrum” because it sounds better, yet their reports show only CBD. We’ll let you make your mind up on that one…
As for “broad spectrum”, this usually means you’ll see a handful of cannabinoids present, but little else. Again, the drawback is these are not as nature intended and do not offer the quality and effectiveness of full spectrum products.
There are no approved health claims currently for CBD or any cannabinoids, so beware of anyone who makes claims as they are not trading legally or acting with integrity.
Our products are sold as supplements to support health and wellbeing alongside a balanced diet and lifestyle.
When we are asked specific questions, generally we can say that you are okay to try our CBD supplements as they are incredibly safe to use.
For specific health enquiries, please use our Health Advice Service where we can offer lifestyle, diet and wellbeing advice. While we do not make claims regarding CBD – with over 15 years of experience there is usually plenty our health advisor can do to help.
Always consult your doctor or healthcare professional before taking CBD if you are already taking medication. Some studies suggest CBD inhibits the action of cytochrome P450 which is important for removing some medication from your body.
There are dedicated vape products on the market, but we do not recommend or produce them at Miracle CBD.
While vaping may be better than smoking, to say it is good for your health is probably a bridge too far. We are only interested in improving your wellbeing.
The vast majority of CBD vape products also are made using CBD isolate, which we know is not as effective as using a quality full-spectrum product, which is another drawback. Our advice would be to use either CBD gummies or CBD capsules to get a daily dose
CBD is considered exceptionally safe. As we manufacture to extremely high standards and always verify our cannabinoid profile, you can be confident using any of our products.
Beware of any supplier who cannot verify their products; you have no idea what you are consuming otherwise.
We do advise if you have never used CBD before to always start small and work your way up. Furthermore, if you are already taking any form of medication – consult your doctor or healthcare professional beforehand.
Side effects are extremely rare and mild if encountered. Taking too much CBD too quickly may make you feel a little tired or give you loose bowels. If this happens take a little less for a while to allow your body to get used to the CBD.
